Hello Friends

I am so very sorry, I have been so neglectful of my friends that follow me here.  I just realized that it has been almost 2 years since I posted anything to this site.  I have been so focused on other things that this has been pushed to the wayside.  Since December 2016 I have written and illustrated another book in the Gemma Giraffe series. I am working very slowly this time on a third Gemma book.  I have also written two adult fiction books and am getting ready to start a third.  I have done all this while working  working full time (commuting to my job about an hour away from home) and being a wife and mother so I will blame it on life.

To be completely honest, a part of my heart was not in this blog.  I am like everyone else, I would love to have the acknowledgments such as likes and comments on my posts so that there is communication and dialog.  But a dear friend recently told me even though I don’t see the likes or the stats, that people are still reading using other sources to access this page.

My goals this year is to become a little more active and continue sharing pieces of me on this blog.  I named my blog Pen Scratches a long time ago.  It is still true, I am still making Pen Scratches in many different ways.  I look forward to hearing from you.  May the rest of your 2018 be filled with blessings and joy.

I’m still here! I blog a lot less than I used to and don’t get time to read as many blogs as I used to, but do like to check in every now and then. And when I do, I get to catch moments like your post.
Well done on all your achievements to date.

I find myself not reading as much as I used to either. Thank you so much. I am gearing up mentally now for my 3rd NANOWRIMO. Rereading my last books so I am in the same frame of mind as before. It’s going to be interesting since I didn’t really finish my last book the way I would like. It has been left hanging for a year.
