Top 10 Posts of 2013

This is my first blog of 2014, I would like to share a small portion of my last year.  One of the bloggers I read regularly, okay every time she posts, created a post about her most viewed posts last year.  At the end of her post she challenged her readers to make one of our own. You can find her post here:

I will say that I never looked back at my posts to see the top ones so was very surprised at some of the ones that were listed in the top ten.  Like my friends blog the topics range in variety, I guess that is because the purpose of a blog is to write what is on your mind at that time.  So without further ado, here are my Top 10 Posts of 2013:

Number 1:  Oh My Gosh Moments   I wrote this about an encounter with a spider.

Number 2:  Saying Goodbye  I wrote this about saying goodbye to my father when he passed in November.

Number 3:  About  It is really strange, but my about page is in the top 3.  My son helped me write it when I created my blog.

Number 4:  I’m So Excited  I wrote this when I sold my first picture ever.  It was and still is one of my best experiences of 2013.

Number 5:  More Drawings and A Thank You  This is self explanatory, okay maybe not – I stared drawing this year and this is some of my latest pictures, I still have not started that project though.

Number 6:  Graystone Valley by Charlie Brooks  This is a book review I did on a free book.  It was a surprise to see one of my reviews here.

Number 7:  Unanswered Questions  I wrote this about the suicide of my nephew.  I re-read it again to remember what it was about because there were many situation last year that left unanswered questions and it still brings tears.

Number 8:  Comfort Zones  We all have them, Comfort Zones.  I finished one of the projects in this blog you can see that post here.  I still have not even started the other.  Have to really challenge that comfort zone.

Number 9:  Time – Is It Really Just a State of Mind  I wrote this during the same time as Unanswered Questions.

Number 10:  Memories  This is another post written during that troubled time of the year when my nephew passed away.  But what a great memory.

I have been writing my blog since June 2011.  I have not been consistent.  I didn’t post every day nor sometimes every month.  I cheated the first year by posting a new chapter of my book once a month.  Since I don’t intend to publish it I thought a blog would be a good way to share my book with my friends.   Once all the chapters were blogged I had to expand or shut down the blog, so I decided to expand and go outside my comfort zone.

Thank you for a great year, may your New Year 2014 be better and much more rewarding than your last.

God Bless and Happy New Year.

Thanks so much for the mention. I do enjoy reading your posts and was particularly touched reading the one saying Goodbye to your Dad.
Best wishes in all your projects in 2014. Hope it’s a great year for you.

Thank you! I am looking forward to this year. I have several projects carried over from last year to get started for some of my family members. After that who knows where this year might lead. Several people have mentioned that I should have a show, but I keep giving my drawings away. So this year might just be about that making enough pictures that I keep to have a show. May blessings rain down on your year!
