My Thoughts On A Page – Letter Series

I have mentioned in the past couple posts that I wrote a letter for my friends Series of Letters post that she was going to do.  My letter is Number 3 in her posts.  I will tell you up front that this is also another very personal entry.  It is one I thought about and prayed about for a while, okay make that years.  Writing the letter and sending it to my friend didn’t take me that long to do.  In fact writing the letter only took me about 20 minutes.  The reason for this is that  “The Letter” has always been there in the back of my mind.  I just never put pen to paper or in modern times fingers to keyboard.  It really felt good to write this letter.  It had been suggested to me before, long before now, to write such a letter, but I resisted and kept these feelings locked away.  A little German girl with anger issues is not a good combination, we hold it inside until it explodes.  It took me years to figure out how to manage my anger.  Notice I say manage, control is something I leave up to God.  You can find that letter here:

Please read the other letters in the series that have been posted.  They are all quite wonderful in their own special way.  The authors of these letters have put their hearts on their sleeves and shared their feelings quite openly.  Some wish to remain anonymous others have been linked to their own blogs.  What a great way to meet new blogging friends.  My friend Tric writes a very touching blog.  She has the magic of Ireland in her words and her voice rings through the posts.  Sometimes when  read her post I can just hear the magic that the language brings.  I would love to meet her in real life one day.  That would be a highlight of my life.  Maybe this is something I should put on my bucket list, if I had a bucket list.

Now that I have started writing some of these more personal blog posts from my past, don’t be surprised if you find some more of them posted in the future.  My word for the year is “Release”.  I have so very many things to release that I could probably fill a couple books.  Some of the stories I have planned to write will be humorous ones (at least they were funny to me), others will be just as hard to write and share as my last post as they are very personal.

I just want to say thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.  It helps to know that I am not alone in my journey through this madness called life.  My goal is to let others know that they are not alone either.  There is someone out there that shares their story or has been through the same type of experience.  I am a Christian, I believe in Jesus Christ, I have believed for it seems like my whole life.  Because of this, I know that no matter how lonely I feel or how unmanageable my life is I am never alone with Him in my corner.  I have two favorite bible verses.  The first is “John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  This one is a favorite because it was one of the first verses I memorized growing up, and it gives me hope.  My second one is “Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”  I use it as a mantra, when I am under extreme stress I repeat it to myself over and over again.  He is my strength and my shield (which is a whole other verse- Psalm 28-7) but both of these verses speak to that promise.

Until next time.
