What to Write Next?

I keep looking at my blog and telling myself that I need to post something new.  If I don’t do it who will?  Then I wonder, what is the purpose.  I know people are reading what I post, but I never get feedback or comments so I don’t know if I am on track with this blog or not.  I have comments posted to my Facebook post when these go on there but what is going on with the comments on my posts on here?  I have had 1524 views, I find this awesome, but only 21 comments in 3 years does not make sense to me.  I thought I had fixed the problem when I found that the comments portion had been turned off, but I am still not getting comments on my posts.  Is it because no one is commenting or is there still a problems somewhere with my settings?  Even on the posts where I specifically ask for assistance there are no comments and come on, I know that others out there know the answers to my questions.

So I am at a loss about what to write next.  I read and follow other blogs and absolutely love what they write about and their writing styles.  My problem, is that I really want the posts to write themselves simply by thinking about them.  If that happened I would have tons of posts already.  Most of my ideas happen when I am doing my daily drive to and from work.  The only problem with that is my drive is about an hour each way and by the time I get home or to work I have totally forgotten my great idea or have decided that that was not a great topic to write about.  Then I read one of the posts that I follow and they have written on the same topic…from a different point of view and it is great…so I don’t write on that topic…go figure.

I do know that the only person that can write this blog is me…what I have to figure out is how important is it to me to keep it going.  And if I do decide to keep it going what direction do I want to take it?  Time to sign off for a while and go ponder those questions.

Keep doing what you are doing. I found you others will also. Not just people who come to view, but like me, people who have got to know you a bit via your comments on their site. Before you know it you will have quite a few commenting.
As for writing continue to write for just you. Listen to your heart and write it down. If others enjoy it that is great but it is your blog, for you.
As for facebook, great to have another outlet for your blog, Well done. I find my facebook commenters are not bloggers so do not go onto wordpress. Also one of them is my brother, trust me it is safer he stays on facebook!

Thank you, I needed that reminder that this was a way for me to have an outlet just for me to express my thoughts and feelings. One of my Facebook followers is my dear hubby…he wants to stay that way and he can click on like to let me know he has read what I have posted.

Interesting. Let me know if you receive this comment. Then you will know if your settings are correct. Once that is done there is only the small matter of the artistic bit to worry about – writing!
