Oh My Gosh Moments

Do you ever have one of those moments when you say:  Oh My Gosh what did I do?  I had one this morning in my bathroom. I stepped in there early this morning to start off my morning, but before I could I looked down and sitting there next to the counter was a big ol’ wolf spider.  Now the fact that I didn’t let out a squeal and go running for my husband is amazing.  I stay as far away from spiders as I can.  I do the next best thing, I grab my hubby’s shoe thinking no problem.  But for me that is a problem.  I am still barefoot and this is still a big ol’ spider.  So I grab the first thing available.  Lysol Disinfectant and Deodorizer spray and give that spider a great big spray so that it won’t run when I use my hubby’s shoe.  Now here is the Oh My Gosh moment, as soon as that spay hit that spider at least 30 little baby spiders went scrambling around.  So now not only do I have a big spider, I now have a gazillion little ones too…  I don’t want those in my house!!! So I keep spraying.  I sprayed so much Lysol I had to leave the bathroom to air out for at least 30 minutes just so I could breath.

Now I know that spiders are some peoples best friends and that they catch them and release them back out into the outdoors. I on the other  hand am really really afraid of them and go running back into the next room saying please go kill it.  I have been known to walk completely around a dead spider because it could be sleeping and I don’t want it to wake up and jump on me.  So I usually ask someone else to take care of it, or I wake my hubby from a sound sleep and say grab a shoe and come quickly.  Of course he has no idea what I want him to do with that shoe until he sees that big ol’ spider.  He just shakes his head and smirks and then takes care of business.

So I am proud of myself, I didn’t scream, squeal, go running or hide, I took care of it quietly and then I left the bathroom.  Now I have to go back in there and finish waking up for the day…I am just hoping that I can now breath again and the fumes have died down.
