Rambling Thoughts

There are so many different things I have thought about writing about that I just have not written anything in a while.  How do you start and stay on a topic when you wonder if anyone would be interested in it or not.

Here is my first topic:

Comments on my blog:  I know I have asked my friends, family and other readers to post comments on my blog because I want to know what they thought about the posts.  I looked at several of my pages yesterday and noticed that it said “Comments Off” on a large number of them.  How in the world can you leave a comment if the comment section is turned off!!!  I want to say it is not my fault…I never chose that option.  In fact it says on the site that comments are automatically turned on, so how “Comments Off” was selected I have no clue.  I have gone in and changed my posts to allow comments, so if you want to leave me a comment please do.  I want to hear from you.

Second Topic:

I went to the bank a few days ago with a friend.  She wanted to cash a $2,000 check for cash.  The bank told her they couldn’t cash it for cash because it was too large.  Since when will a bank not cash a check for cash?  Who are they to tell you how much money in cash you can have?  What if I had a business and I needed that money for on hand cash to make change from during the day.  I will say that I waited in the car so I don’t know the exact exchange but she came back to the car with her check not cashed.  Is there a limit to the amount of cash you can have on hand?

Third Topic:

I have several friends that are going through cancer.  I am hearing that word more and more often lately.  All the cancers are different.  One has lung cancer, another has colon/liver cancer, another has breast cancer, another recently passed away from spinal cancer and one I was following on a blog passed away from her cancer.  All of them are different ages.  My blog friend was 16, my friend with liver/colon cancer is 35, the one with lung cancer is late 40s, the one with breast cancer is in her late 60s and the one with spinal cancer was 93.   My maternal grandma passed away from leukemia, my paternal grandfather passed away from intestinal/brain cancer.  My Aunt passed away from intestinal cancer, another aunt had breast cancer.  Am I just hearing it more because I am getting older or is cancer starting to take over?  I am in my mid 40’s and have been hearing about research for the cure for cancer since I was a child in the 70s.  Where is this cure?  What is all that money going to that people donate for cancer research.  I mean come on this is 2013 and there is still no cure.

Final Thoughts:

See I told you I had many thoughts just rambling away in there.  Such different topics.  So many unanswered questions.  I am looking forward to reading your comments now that I have figured out what was wrong.  See you in my next post.
